The most important factor to consider when traveling abroad is about how safe you will be being in that country. We want to experience a safe and pleasant time being there. Research about the country you are going to visit and find out what will be your risks being there.

This is especially true for an American citizen or a European. It is important to find out whether the country you are going to visit is hostile towards the U.S. If the country is especially hostile towards the U.S., you might not want to travel there and put yourself at risk even if you are not an American but European.   • Don’t use unofficial money changers in the black market when exchanging your money. You might end up holding fake moneys.
  • Don’t do something silly like wearing gold and get attention from people.
  • Always have the telephone number of your Embassy and local police station in case of emergency.
  • Don’t trust anyone.

You can always wait until the country is much safer or you can choose to visit a different country whereby you can get similar travel experiences you are looking for.
