Adventure Travel Survival Tips

Everyone have their own reasons to travel. My reason to travel is to gain experience. Personally I prefer adventure travel. If you want to learn about survival skill easily, go for a backpacking adventure travel experience such as trekking a remote high mountain.

I have learned through my travels that surviving in life is not the same in all the places. Although food, clothing and a place to stay fulfills basic survival need, getting these basics varies according to places.

In some places you travel, you can get these resources easily while you may not at other locations. Sometimes, you may even struggle to find water when the water you’ve bottled has run out when you are trekking through waterless canyon.

If you have been in such a condition before, you will know what to do. What if this is the first time you are traveling and you find yourself having problems fulfilling the basic needs for survival?

Preparations reduce chances of getting into unwanted trouble but it will always be there. So the key to surviving any travel adventure is in properly planning the adventure. The most important stuff you need to take care is being careful with what you eat and drink.

Personally and through reports by many other travelers, the most common problem you can get is having a diarrhea. It’s normal to want to try a local delicacy in the country you are visiting but do you know it will be alright for your body? Always bring along with you some diarrhea pills.

And when you are on your own traveling in the country side and your mineral water have run out, don’t forget to boil the waters you are taking from the streams because it may contain unwanted germs or may be contaminated. This will prevent you from having unnecessary problems.

Before taking that adventure travel, learn some natural hunting skill. If you are going to catch a fish, and you don’t have a fishing rod with a hook, what will you do? Will you use your hand? What if you can’t use your hand or what if there is no river nearby except of a small stream without fish?

You might need to hunt a small animal which can be eaten. So what will you do if you don’t know how to use the natural resources to hunt one? Learn this skill before going out for an adventure especially if you are going on a long trekking where you will need to camp out.

You will also need to learn how to avoid dangers you might get from dangerous animals like the snakes and other animals. If you are going to camp for the night it is extremely important to find a safe location to build your camp.

The other important thing to do is to learn about the temperate of the place you are going to travel or do the trekking. Know how the weather will be both during the day and during night and bring along the necessary clothing. This will help you survive the extreme weather. Don’t forget your raincoat.

So basically if you are going to go on an adventure travel as a backpacker, you will need to know what to bring along and how to face the changing weather conditions both in the day and night as well as preventing yourself from the dangers of other natural stuffs like the animals.

Of course when we are leaving our home for an adventure travel, it means we want to forget about what’s happening at home. We want to fully immerse ourselves in our adventure but that doesn’t mean you should not bring along a communication device like hand phone for emergency use.

Thanks to the technology, traveling can be more worry free now. Personally I always bring my mobile phone wherever I travel and I have international roaming service line which means I can communicate to anyone from my phone from anywhere. It will be your life savior in the event of emergency so consider having one with you.

Hopefully with these simple travel tips you can better prepare yourself for your own adventure travel.
